Minor 'A' or Major 'B'? Which service your car needs
Both are scheduled servicing. The difference is how deep they go and how often each one comes around. Here is what each covers, so you can book the right one instead of paying for the wrong one.

What a Minor 'A' service covers
Routine upkeep — engine oil and oil filter replacement, a basic vehicle inspection, tyre pressure check, essential fluid top-ups and a service indicator reset.

- Basic package includes 4L engine oil; additional oil at S$15/L
- Air-con filter and air filter are not included
What a Major 'B' service adds
Everything in a Minor 'A' service plus air filter, cabin filter, spark plug check and replacement, transmission and brake fluid work, and a deeper inspection of suspension, cooling and braking.

- Final price depends on car make and model
How to tell which one you are due
- Check the last service record. Note the date and the mileage it was done at.
- Compare both. Whichever comes first — the distance or the time — is what your car is due for.
- Still unsure? Send us the mileage and the date of the last service on WhatsApp and we will tell you which one it needs.
If something is already wrong — a warning light, an unfamiliar noise, a car that feels less responsive — that is not a scheduled service. Start with diagnostics and repair instead.

- What is the difference between Minor 'A' and Major 'B' servicing?

- A Minor 'A' service is from S$88 and a Major 'B' service is from S$488. The final price depends on your car's make and model, the parts it needs and what we find during inspection, and we confirm it with you before any work begins.
- How long will my car be in the workshop?
- Allow about 1 hour for a Minor 'A' service and half day for a Major 'B' service.
- Is engine oil included in the price?
- The basic Minor 'A' package includes 4L of engine oil. Cars that take more are charged S$15 per additional litre. The air-con filter and air filter are not part of a Minor 'A' service — those are covered in a Major 'B'.
- Do hybrids and electric cars follow the same schedule?
- Not exactly — diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles may have different service items, so tell us what you drive and we will advise. We also offer a dedicated EV servicing package.
